Trimester 1 Best Work: SS

Oion haseyo everyone!  So for SS, I would say my best work would be the Salem Witch Trials play I did with Mari and Tayne.  I think this is my best work because I thik we wrote the play well and a bit accurately, while making it funny.  (Well, at least we thought it was funny.)  The objective of this assignment was to make a song, poem, or play about either the Salem Witch Trials, slavery, or the Antebellum.

Here’s the script:

Cast:

Witch (Faith Hudson): Tayne (Wear all black)

Accuser (insert fake name): Jenn (Bring Bible)

Judge (insert fake name): Mari (get gavel)

Jury: Raya, Breydon, Aaron

Jury Speaker: Sarah

Bailiff: Skylar

Equipment:

  1. 8 chairs
  2. One Bible (provided by Jenn)
  3. One gavel (Get it from Mr. Kawi)
  4. One table( for judge) with a pocket to store the picture
  5. Kai picture (On the last page to print out)
  6. Pencil to “draw” the “Devil”
  7. Maybe a folder or something to place the picture on when “drawing” so no one sees it?
  8. Something to pound the gavel on?

Script:

Bailiff: All rise [wait for everyone to stand]

Department 17 of the Potato Court is now in session. Judge Mari presiding.  Please be seated.

Judge: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.  Calling the case of the Salem Witch Trials versus Faith Hudson.  Are both sides ready?

Accuser: Ready for the people, Your Honor.

Faith Hudson (Witch): Ready for the defense, Your Honor

Judge:  Will the jury please stand and raise your right hand?  [Wait for everyone to stand and raise right hand.]  Do each of you swear that you will fairly try the case before this court and that you will return a true verdict according to the evidence and the instructions of the court, so help you, God?  Please say “I do”. [Wait for jurors to say “I do.”]  You may be seated.

Judge: *Holds up Bible in front of Faith* [Wait for Faith to place her hand on Bible] Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

Faith Hudson (Witch): I do.

Judge: *Holds up Bible in front of Accuser* [Wait for the accuser to place her hand on Bible] Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

Accuser: I do.

Judge: The Accuser may make their claim.

Accuser: Your Honor and ladies and gentlemen of the jury: The defendant, Faith Hudson, has been charged with the crime of witchcraft.  Evidence shows that she has been practicing witchcraft and contacting the devil in her dreams.

Jury: *Murmur amongst selves*

Judge: *Bangs gavel* Order in the court! What does the defendant have to say? Have you, or have you not, been contacting the devil?

Faith Hudson: Your Honor, I admit, yes.  I have been contacting the devil.

Jury: *gasp* *murmurs loudly*

Judge:*bangs gavel* ORDER! ORDER IN THE COURT! Now, Faith.

Can you describe the devil you have seen?

Faith Hudson: He has dark brown, combed back hair; dark eyes; muscular build; a shiny red shirt; full lips; and a defined face.

Judge: *Takes out pencil and Kai picture and pretends to “draw” the “devil”*

Judge: *Holds up the picture of the “devil”* is this the devil described?

Faith Hudson: Yes, Your Honor, that is him.

Judge: The jury will now decide on the verdict.

Jury: *murmurs*

Jury Speaker: We have come to the decision! Faith Hudson is guilty of being a witch!

Judge: The verdict has been made!  Faith Hudson, you are hereby sentenced to death!

Judge: *bangs gavel* Take her away.

Faith Hudson: NOOOOOOOO!!

(We also had a picture of the “devil” but it’s not free to use.)

Well, that’s all for now!  Annyeong!

Trimester 1 Best Work: LA

Onion haseyo everyone!  I’m here with my best work for LA, which would probably be the Supporting Idols blog post I wrote.  The link is here.  I chose this piece because this was the post I was actually proud of and I really like writing it.  For the assignment, we basically had to write a message to others, so I decided to choose that because it’s an important topic to me.  So if you want, you can come check it out!

Trimester 1 Best Work: Art

Picture taken by me

Onion haseyo everyone!  Art is one of my favorite subjects, and I have a lot of best works, like the sunflower sketch I did, which I couldn’t get a picture of.  But my best, and favorite, drawing that I did in Art is a drawing of Day6.  This wasn’t an assignment, but I did this for fun.  Hope you like it!

Music!

Onion haseyo everyone!  As you may, or may not, know I love music!  More specifically, kpop and classical music.  Music is a universal language and can help the listeners visualize the story behind it.

Kpop is a wonderful form of music because of all the messages, concepts, and stories behind it.  It can be a happy song about you being perfect just the way your are, a sad song about just breaking up with your lover, a love song, or a song not knowing who you truly are and trying to find yourself.  The possibilities are endless.

But there’s also the concepts.  Let’s use Vixx for an example, since they’re the Concept Kings.  Their concepts varied from superheros, intergalactic vampires, cyborgs, voodoo dolls, slaves of love, and even a greek gods trilogy with the themes of Zelos, Hades, and Kratos, just to name a few.

Another thing that I didn’t mention were the theories.  BTS has a lot of fan theories revolving around their songs ‘I Need U’ and ‘Run’.  One theory I like is by a youtuber named Steven Deng.  He’s the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z_cAeU3KuU  If you’re interested, you can watch it or listen to some kpop songs!  Here are some of my favorites:

  • Day6 – Shoot Me, Congratulations, I wait
  • Any Stray Kids song
  • Any Vixx song (But not Hyde)
  • Any Bts song
  • Exo – Monster, Love me right, Call me baby, Universe, El Dorado, Kokobop, Tempo
  • Black Pink – Ddu du ddu du
  • Twice – Likey, Dance the night away
  • KNK – Rain, Knock
  • Speed – Don’t Tease Me, What U (Both are full of flips and tricks)
  • Monsta X – Shoot Out, Dramarama, Hero, Fighter
  • Topp Dogg – Rainy day, TOPDOG, Arario (Don’t watch the MV for this one)
  • Teen Top – Rocking
  • SF9 – O Sole Mio
  • N.Flying – Hot Potato
  • Pentagon – Shine
  • Wanna One – Boomerang
  • Astro – Cat’s Eye, Crazy Sexy Cool, Confession
  • Seventeen – Mansae, Don’t Wanna Cry, Very Nice
  • Snuper – Tulips, Back:Hug, Oh yeah!!
  • NCT Dream – Chewing gum, We Young
  • In2IT – Snapshot

Well, that’s all for now! Annyeong!

How to give credit!

Onion haseyo everyone!  Today I will be teaching you how to give credit!  Now pay attention children!  Cuz this is important otherwise you could possibly go to jail.  So here are some steps on how to use a picture from the internet and attributing it without going to jail.

  1. Go onto Google or Bing to find a picture you want.  (I prefer Bing since it’s easier for me to use)
  2. Click either label for reuse, which is under tools for Google or Free to Share and Use, which is under License.  It should filter the images for you.
  3.  Choose the picture you want and copy the website url.
  4. Insert the picture in your blog post and in Caption, write: Photo Credit: <a href=”WEBSITE URL”>Bing Free to Share and Use Images</a> so it attributes properly.  Note that if you used Google, you can replace the “Bing Free to Share and Use Images” with “Google Label for Reuse”
  5. Congrats!  You have successfully attributed a picture and now you won’t get in trouble!

Well, that’s all for now.  Imma sleep.

Oh and also, I made a new header for my blog!  You can come check it out if you like.

My New Avatar (YEHET)

Credit to owners (couldn’t find it, sorry.)

So… What the heck is my avatar supposed to be?

Well… It’s Jungkook with a shoe to his ear (the one using the blue and black shoe).  I chose this because Jungkook is my bias, and cuz it’s stoohpid XD. …It’s also weird and a bit funny, like me.

Uh… There’s not much else to say, so…

See ya later!

My Message: Supporting Idols

E’Dawn and Hyuna:

Okay. Before we start this post, first, let me just say… Half of this is directed at you, Cube.

Now what is this post about? I’ll explain, but first here’s a bit of information:

As you know, I love Kpop and I notice this issue a lot.  Now, as you know, kpop is very popular now, especially BTS, and the kpop groups have a lot of fans.  Many of them are more… passionate… about their bias or the group.  Some fans actually want to marry their bias and then… there are sasaengs.  Sasaengs are a small (hopefully) group of people that stalk their favorite groups of idols.  Well, now that this is covered, let’s move on.

So, what issue am I talking about? Well, it’s about kpop idols dating. (even though it’s banned)

How is this an issue? Well, you know how I said there are sasaengs and people that want to marry their bias? That comes in here.  So both of these groups can get VERY protective over their bias.  Sometimes so protective that if their bias gets even involved in a dating rumor, they go nuts and start hating the other person they’re supposedly dating and talking bad about them like, “he/she doesn’t deserve him/her” or “Why is he/she dating HIM/HER”.  Although, there will be fans that support both the person they’re dating and their relationship, so that’s good.

Also, you know how I mentioned Cube?  Well, that’s another thing that can happen if idols admit they’re dating.  Well, their company can kick them out.  That’s what Cube Entertainment did.  I think a few months ago, Pentagon’s E’Dawn and the soloist HyunA came out and admitted they were dating for two years, so what did Cube do? That’s right! THEY KICKED THEM OUT! Why? Because according to Cube, they found it difficult to “rebuild the broken loyalty and trust” between the two artists, and as a result, they decided to kick them out.

So what am I trying to say here? Well, idols are people too.  They aren’t tools or things you can just claim.  They also have their own personal life and they should have the freedom to date who they want to date.  Sure, people will get jealous, but isn’t their happiness important?  Although, there are some idols that are dating or married.  Like FTIsland’s maknae, Minhwan.  He and Laboum’s Yulhee are legally married and had their first child last May.

Well that’s it for now, but I have one question for you:  Do you think idols should be able to date freely? Answer in the comments…  Or not.

Well, that’s all for now guys! Anneyong!

Final Post!

Hey guys.  So, it’s the end of the year! (wooooo no school…) But, some people are leaving, mainly 8th grade, so have fun in high school/other schools!  Where was I?  Oh right!  Here is my final post of the school year:

1. What you enjoyed most this school year

I think the thing I enjoyed most about this school year would probably be when the whole middle school went to Camp Mokuleia.  I enjoyed that the most because it was fun at night when we were in the cabins.  I remember being in a room with Sarah, Raya, Mina, Mari, and Tayne.  I remember me, Mari, Raya, and Mina sitting on Mari’s bed (I think it was Mari’s bed) and played war while Sarah and Tayne were talking.  I also remember Raya raging and us eating shrimp chips.

2. What you would have changed if you could redo this school year

I would probably change a few things, like maybe two or three.  I would probably do my edublogs earlier (cuz I do them on Thursday night sometimes). And I wouldn’t procrastinate as much with some of my other schoolwork and do it the morning it’s due.  I think those would be the only things I would fix, but other than that, I wouldn’t change anything else.

3. What you’re looking forward to next school year

I’m looking forward to a lot of new things next year.  One of those things are continuing Hiki No because I could get into a good school for it and it’s really fun.  Another thing I look forward to is the JST and the 8th grade challenger mission.  I really want to do those things because it seems so much fun and because I really want to do the challenger mission again, as well as going to Japan. (Tip: Hokkaido is known for its dairy.  If you ever go there, eat the ice cream.  It’s the best)

Here are some things to do in summer:

Well, that’s all for now!

HAGS!
