As you may know, I have a shiba inu, whose name is Sophie.  I wanted to do some further research, so here are some facts.

Shiba inus are fluffy, cute, fast, and stubborn.  There are many types of shiba inus such as black sesame, sesame, red, black and tan, and white.  They have a pattern called Urajiro, which is the white patches of fur.  Urajiro is the white patches of fur on the chest, on the sides of the nose, on the inside of the tail, and on the inside of the fore and back legs.  They grow up to be medium sized dogs and they have a lot of energy.

Shiba Inus  are alert, active, and attentive.  They are Japan’s smallest native breed of dogs, and they were originally bred for hunting by sight and scent.  They are excellent watch dogs and companions.  The males are masculine without coarseness, while females are feminine without a weakness in structure.  Their eyes and ears have a slight triangular shape, and their body is well muscled.  Their feet are cat-like with well-arched toes with thick pads.  They also have curly tails and “eyebrows”.

Good nutrition is very important for shiba inus from puppyhood to it’s senior years.  Their short coats need little maintenance, while grooming with a brush and an occasional bath.  Shiba inus need to exercise every day because of their large amounts of energy.   It could be a vigorous play session or a long walk.  Shiba inus are very fast, so if they run away, they won’t come back, and because they are so stubborn and independent, they won’t come when you call them.  I would recommend getting a harness for them if you want to take them for walks.  Shiba inus are a generally healthy breed of dogs.

SBC Week 8 Activity 2

Hi everyone!  For SBC Week 8, I commented on posts on the Flipboard Magazine.  Here’s what I commented:

I commented on Robyn’s Post about  Week 1 Student Blogging Into.  I wrote:

Hi Robyn,

I have one dog named Sophie, and a sister that is 7 years old.  In the summer, I play Minecraft with my sister and my friends.  I am not in girl scouts nor boy scouts, but I like buying the cookies.  In science, we are making paper rollercoasters.  In fourth grade, I made a story with my friend.  Come check out my blog: Jennifer’s Blog

Then, I commented on Thanumi’s Blog about Week 3, Activity 5 – A Slideshow About My Interests!  I wrote:

Hi Thanumi,
I love reading! I buy so many boos, my dad had to make me a new bookshelf, that you could put books on both sides. The only authors I know that was in your post was Elisabetta Dami, Roald Dahl, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and J.K. Rowling. I know about almost all the books they’ve written. I have read many Geronimo Stilton books, Charlie and the Chocolate Family, Mathilda, and Witches. I haven’t read any Harry Potter books, but I saw part of The Goblet of Fire on TV. In fourth grade, I made up stories with my friend. Come check out my blog: Jennifer’s Blog

Finally, I commented on Anisha’s Post about Week 5: Activity 5 – Interview a Family Member And Write a Post About Them  I wrote:

Hi Anisha,
I really like your post. My mom’s favorite color is purple, her favorite place is probably in her room or with our dog. Her favorite thing to do is probably watch Netflix or play with our dog. I don’t really know about the last question though. Come check out my blog: Jennifer’s Blog

My Digital Footprint

I think my digital footprint is positive because I never give out my personal information online.  In fourth grade, I used to play a game with Sarah, Mari, Jenna, Skye, and many other of my friends.  The game was Animal Jam.  We didn’t want anyone to know our real names, so we made up codenames. The first letter of our codename would match the first letter of our name.  For example, my codename was Jelly.  Anyway, if anyone hacked into my account, they wouldn’t find any passwords.

The Story of Skitz Vol. 2

George became three years older and was a toddler.  He was old enough to hunt mice and eat berries, but Skitz and Liyla still had to watch him to make sure that he was safe.

There was these two girls named Raya and Jennifer.  They both loved animals and came there to visit everyday, especially at night.  Their dads are animal keepers and are best friends. Raya and Jennifer helped feed Liyla, Skitz, and George.  When George woke up from his afternoon nap, he instantly jumped up and begged to the two girls for bugs.  The girls could not stand his cute face so they gave Skitz, Liyla, and George five bugs each.  George was so happy that he almost jumped out of the habitat.

One day George had a awesome dream about him becoming a hero and saving the world but what George did not know was that he had a secret power.  That power was psychic, and he could move things with his mind no matter how heavy it was.  Skitz and Liyla knew about the secret power, but they didn’t want to tell him until he was a grown up.  So Liyla and Skitz tried to keep that secret, but not long after, they had to tell him.  A few years later George was teenager.  Everything got really boring for him.  He didn’t jump up every morning and he didn’t even play with his toys.  Skitz and  Liyla finally decided to tell him.  George was on his log when Liyla and Skitz  came they told him about his super power.  George was amazed and he told them all about his dream.   Skitz told him the legend of the fennec fox.  A long time ago the first fennec foxes ruled the land.  King Fox had a wise fennec fox named Tod.  One night Tod was looking at the stars.  “A new  fennec fox will be born.”  He told king fox.  Two weeks later a fennec fox was born.  They named him John.  John is George’s ancestor.  He had the same powers as George.  Every 100 years a fennec fox has the same powers as him is born.  Suddenly Jennifer and Raya came.  George tried to use his powers but it didn’t work.  George was disappointed and ate his fruit.  George is asked Skitz why his power didn’t work.  “You need to practice.” Skitz said.  George practiced all night and the next day he could lift a pebble.  He showed Skitz and Liyla and they were proud.  When Jennifer and Raya came to give them food George surprised them with his psychic power.   He lifted his share of the food and put it in  his mouth.  George practiced every day.  One day…

Free Rice

I have been experimenting on freerice.com and it is a very fun website.  Every time you answer a question correctly, you donate 10 grains of rice. I have been playing on it, and so far, I have donated 1,000 grains of rice.  The rice is donated to people who can’t feed themselves or their family.  It also teaches you things when you are having fun such as Spanish, German, Italian, Latin, French, Pre-Algebra, multiplication, world hunger, famous paintings, human anatomy, landmarks, capitals, countries, flags, literature, famous quotes, vocabulary, grammar, and chemical symbols.  I would recommend playing because it is enjoyable and it helps families that can’t feed themselves.
